Amanda Kristine Sheffield, 40, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Temple Baptist Church, 3208 S. Van Buren, with Pastor Scott Higginbotham officiating.
Amanda was born May 5, 1983 in Amarillo, Texas. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 2002. She worked as a CNA for Legacy Nursing and Rehab, Palo Duro Care Center in Claude and Millcreek Rehab and Nursing in Sillsbee, Texas. Amanda absolutely loved her job and was very dedicated to the residents she served. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, especially going to the beach. Amanda had a big heart and loved people. She was a good friend and valued her friendships deeply. Her Nana was her “hero”.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wendell L. Sheffield; her aunt, Theresa Lee Smith; her uncle, Floyd Adlong.
Survivors include her Nana, Regina Sheffield of Amarillo; three sons, Bradley Sheffield and wife Aunique, Tristan Ritchie and Brayden Ritchie; three daughters, Alexis Marple, and twins Erika and Elena Ortegon; her mother, Cheryl Sheffield and fiancée Jackie Matlock of Amarillo; her father, Russell Bryan Sheffield and wife Debbie of Amarillo; her sister, Margie Fortriede; two brothers, Chris Lindsey and Russell Sheffield; three grandchildren, Xavier, Eli and Isabella; her mother-in-law, Janice Ritchie; special friends, Ronnie and Gina Ortegon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church; or to the Duke University Thymus Transplant Program.
