Andres was born May 4, 1950, to Telesforo and Consuelo Guzman in Edinburg, Texas. He attended High School in Abernathy, TX and married his sweetheart, Anita on October 25, 1968. Andres enjoyed many things about life. He was big on family, and never missed out on a family function. He was always ready to save a spot at Thompson Park or get the family out to the lake. Andres enjoyed game nights at his sister’s home, where he taught his children to play board games and poker. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, collected hats of all kinds, and loved traveling to New York City. Andres and his wife Anita would celebrate 51 years of marriage this coming October; they cherished each moment together. Andres enjoyed taking Anita to breakfast at Cracker Barrel and traveling with her as well. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing with his wife, especially to Tejano music. Andres will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Anita Guzman of the home; four children, daughter, Diana Sparks and her husband Daniel of Newtown Connecticut, son, Andy Guzman Jr. of Amarillo, son, Albert Guzman of Amarillo, and daughter, Monica Guzman of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, Aron Guzman, Brianna Gonzalez, Kaitlyn Kastanek, Cody Kastanek, Nevaeh Gonzalez, Albert Guzman Jr., Lola Gonzalez, and Christian Gonzalez; two brothers, Telesforo Guzman Jr., and Juan Guzman; three sisters, Mary Marrugo, Georgia Saucedo, and Lupe Guzman-Ortiz; close friends, Lee Rios, Fernando Davila, Jesse Vega, Max Martines, John Robert Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez, and Ronnie Peters.
