Barbara Ann Poole, 77, of Amarillo passed away on November 13, 2020 in Ogden, Utah. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 28, 2020 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Rick Renda Officiating. Barbara will be available for viewing on Friday November 27, 2020 from 12:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Barbara was born on October 21, 1943 in Coleman, Texas to Clifford and Earline Hagar. Barbara faced some difficult challenges in her life including caring for and losing her mother to cancer when she was only 17 years old. She raised four children as a single mother and was grateful for the support of family and friends. She was never a complainer but always felt blessed and optimistic. Working as a nurse for over 30 years, she cared deeply for her profession and poured her heart into the patients she cared for. Barbara was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed serving others and was generous with those in need. She was a humble and kind person. Her family will always remember her as a nurturing sweet mother and grandmother with a good sense of humor. Barbara was referred to as “Nana”, “Grandma Barbara” and “Grammy”. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patricia “Bitsy” Tobias; one brother, Roger Coker.
Survivors include one brother, Clifford Hagar Jr, two daughters, Shelly Vincent and husband Kevin of Amarillo and Jamie Renda and husband Rick of Ogden, Utah; two sons, Kenny Poole and wife Melanie of Amarillo and Michael Poole of Clearlake, California; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Kaleb, Dakota, Clarissa, Emily, Jacob, Nathanael, Jace and Jenna; six great grandchildren, Deklyn, Anistyn, Bostyn, Noah, Kohen, Sam and two new additions to the family that have yet to make their arrival into the world.
