Billy Vivens Obituary

Billy Vivens, 68, of Amarillo, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday October 24, 2021. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday October 29, 2021 at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, with pastor Darrell Bonjour officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley funeral home.

Billy was born in Turkey, Texas to Robert and Carrie Vivens on March 31, 1953. He worked most of his life as a Ranch Foreman. Billy was a talented carpenter, avid gardener and enjoyed working on motorcycles. Billy was a people person and enjoyed being around others. He never failed to give you his full attention and dedicated his life to serving those around him. He was an outstanding Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. Billy loved Jesus and has now been awarded his ultimate reward in Heaven with his savior.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Verna Ann Vivens and one granddaughter, Chloe Vivens.

Survivors include his wife, Dorcas Vivens of the home; two sons, Billy Vivens and Buddy Vivens; two grandsons, Alexander Warren Vivens and Grant Robert Vivens all of Amarillo; seven sisters, Kathy Watson and husband Hollis, Ann Jackson, Elaine Vivens, Doris Vivens, Carrie Thompson and husband Leroy, Sharon Towner, Bobbie Torrence and husband Lee; two brothers, Jimi Vivens and Mitchell Vivens; Nieces and nephews, Angela and Frank Taylor, Michelle Savage, Brian and Stefanie Watson, Brice Vivens, Staci Thomas, Katrina and Joel Cude, Benjamin Torrence, David and Courtney Torrence, Jhanzen and Deajah Savage, John Mark and Hillarey Vivens, Courtney and David Morgan, Auriell Towner, Myriah Towner, Micah Vivens, Wynter Taylor and Rhyse Vivens. Survivors also include extended family and close friends.
