Blake was born on December 12, 1953 to Mack and Peggy Humbles in Marion, North Carolina. He has been a part of the Amarillo community since about 1970, graduating from Caprock High School in 1972. He worked most of his life as an independent truck driver and for different transportation services. Blake loved his work and was known as a great resource for his problem-solving skills; always charting his own path with his own unique sense of humor. Blake was proud to have had the opportunity to escort Garth Brooks during one of his tours. He was loved by so many and will be missed by people all over the USA and from all walks of life. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell.
Blake was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Boyd Humbles and nephew Johnathan.
Survivors include his stepson, Tim Bolt and wife Jackie of Hampton, VA; brother, Bill Humbles and wife Stephanie of Winterville, NC; five sisters, Patricia Humbles of Hookerton, NC, Glenda McKinney and husband Scott of Mt. Juliet, TN, Rebecca Webb also of Hookerton, NC and Charity and Hope Humbles of Farmington, NM. He also is survived by nephews, Mack, Charles and Noah; nieces, Katie and Mariah; and great nephews Thomas and Conner; and great niece Savannah.
