Bobby Scott

Bobby W. Scott, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at First Christian Church Chapel, 3001 Wolflin Ave. with Pastor Lennie McCay officiating. Inurnment will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Bobby was born August 27, 1933 in Pampa, Texas to Riley and Julia Scott. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1952. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. During this time, Bobby met the love of his life, Jane Webb. They married on February 9, 1957. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage and raised three sons together. Bobby worked for FW Woolworth and Woolco as a store manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles with his sons. Bobby was a humble and generous man who like little fanfare. He was a devoted son to his parents and honored them for their whole lives. He was also a loving husband to Jane and devoted father to their sons.  

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Virgil Scott, Edward Scott, Dell Scott and Monty Scott; and a great-granddaughter, Prestyn Shelton.

Survivors include his wife Jane Scott; three sons, Keith Scott of Amarillo, Richard Scott and wife Jodie of Haslet, TX, and Charlie Scott and wife Amy of The Woodlands, TX; five grandchildren, Berkley Scott, Major Scott, Emery Kate Scott, Holden Scott, and Missie Shelton; four great-grandchildren, Kamy, Grant, Tyler and Chandler; and a nephew, Eddie Scott of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Washington Ave. Christian Church Service Center; or Christian Relief Fund.
