Camilo Cerda, 67, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Camilo was born November 10, 1952 in Snyder, Texas. He grew up in Post, Texas. He married Dianna Myers on July 2, 1992 in Amarillo. He worked as a welder for Multiple Systems for 13 years. In his spare time, Camilo enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and working in his garage. He loved his cigars, and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Perez; a brother, Jessie Cerda. Survivors include his wife, Dianna Cerda; four daughters, Cecilia Gonzales (Justin Moses) of Colorado, Annette Cerda of Dallas, Jennifer Thornton (Essie), and Charity Hoover (Tony) all of Amarillo; two sons, Jared Camilo Cerda and Joshua Myers both of Amarillo; his mother, Olga Perez of Amarillo; two brothers, Johnny Cerda of Post, and Augustine Cerda (Cindy) of Amarillo; two sisters, JoAnn Perez of Post, and Becky Cerda of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Jacob Cerda, Adam Cerda, Nyah Gonzalez, Nathan Thornton, Deklyn Hoover, and Taelyn Hoover. The family suggests memorials may be made to Amarillo High Plains Dialysis, 5920 W. Amarillo Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
