Charles Anthony Buccola, 87, of Amarillo passed away June 14, 2022. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday June 17, 2022 with Buddy Young officiating.
Charles was born March 14, 1935 in Pueblo, Colorado to Anthony and Caroline Buccola. After he graduated high School he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Charles served as a cook in the Korean War and a champion boxer as well. He was a longtime Amarillo mason contractor for his company Buccola Masonry. The Buccola family was the family who laid down the first brick streets in Amarillo. He took great pride in his work, as he was an excellent mason. Charles loved to golf, fish and go bowling. He was quite a jokester. Charles loved gardening he would grow vegetables. He especially loved his dogs; Charlie, Annie and Lucy. Charles will be dearly missed by all whom knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother Leonard Buccola; his second wife Cheryl Buccola; his two step sons Cory Miller and Jason Miller.
Survivors include his only son Carl Buccola (Terri) of Amarillo; his three grandchildren Nick Buccola (Amanda) of Plano; Jennifer McNeely (Matt) of Amarillo; Clint Buccola of Amarillo; his five great-grandchildren Graham, Millie, Keller, Bentley, Mason; his sister Nadine Darnell of Lewisville; and his step daughter Mechelle Miller. Survivors also include a host of other family members.
