Obituary

Doctor Charles Samuel Hahn, Sr. passed away August 15, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday August 19, 2023 at Arena of Life with Travis Bennet officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery following the memorial service. The family will be accepting friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday

August 18, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Arrangements are by Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Charlie was born on September 19, 1935 in Detroit MI to Clifford and Margaret Hahn.

He was veteran in the United States Navy and served during the Korean War.

Charlie married his beautiful bride, Muriel Elaine Frederick August 15, 1964. Muriel was Charlie’s nurse when he was in the Navy. She loved to play practical jokes on him and get a good laugh. She referred to him as her “Chuckle Bucks.” They were reunited together in Heaven on what would’ve been the day of their 59th wedding anniversary.

He obtained B.A., M Div. degrees culminating in a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2002. Charlie has served as a Director of Christian Education, Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Pastor, and Bible College Professor throughout the years. He and Muriel served as missionaries to the Philippines, where Beth, Rebekah and Sam were born.

Charlie was an amazing man of Faith and set his alarm for 4:45 every single morning to spend time with the Lord. He made sure to lay the foundation of Faith for his family. His office is filled with filing cabinets full of years of study on the Bible. Charlie always had a smile on his face and told everyone he met about Jesus. He devoted a day of the week to each of his children to pray for them and their families. Charlie was the best at singing “Happy Birthday” and could sing in all 5 octaves...although we aren’t so sure about that. He was always down for a family get together with Diet Dr. Peppers, hot dogs and cake. Charlie’s greatest satisfaction in life was praising the Lord and loving his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Muriel; his daughter, Deborah Andrews; and his grandchild, Taylor Andrews.

Charlie is survived by his two daughters; Elisabeth Boland (Beth) and husband Daron Boland of Amarillo, TX; Rebekah Crosier and husband Dyran Crosier of Amarillo, TX; his three sons; Charles Samuel Hahn Jr (Sam) and Wife Melissa Hahn of Dallas, TX; David Hahn and wife Kara Hahn of Celina, TX; and his son-in-law, Paul Andrews of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; Megan Durrett and husband Stewart Durrett; Robin Andrews and husband Klayton Totty; Chelsea Perkins and husband Drew Perkins;  Austin Hahn and wife Fatima Hahn; Brianna Crosier; Braden Crosier; Bryleigh Crosier; Madison Boland; Chase Hahn; Landon Hahn; Ava Hahn; Brooklyn Hahn; eight great-grandchildren; Paisley, Emma, Sawyer, Charlie, Junie, Dorian, Lainey and Carter; his siblings; Sukie Beauchane, Clifford Hahn and Fred Hahn.
