Charles “Charlie” Walter Mobley, 90, of Amarillo passed away Monday September 26, 2022. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Charlie was born in Amarillo, Texas on July 1, 1932 to Rhome and Grace Mobley. He graduated from Canyon High School. Charlie married Millie White in Portales, New Mexico in 1951. Together they shared 66 years and two beautiful children. He liked to build and race boat models, enjoyed traveling and tending to the roses in the garden. Charlie never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune with his dog, Penny.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Millie; his parents; his sister Christine Wallen; his son-in-law Danny Paddack.
Survivors include his daughter, Shanna Paddack of Amarillo; his son, Sterling Mobley of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Kelly Goodner of Canyon; Amy Earles and husband Justin of Little Rock, Arkansas; five great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Goodner of Amarillo; Brooklyn Goodner and fiancé Jake Morris of Amarillo; Codi Goodner of Amarillo; Willie Earles of Little Rock, Arkansas; Charlie Earles of Little Rock, Arkansas; one great-great grandchild, Kye Cameron of Amarillo; one brother, Curtis Mobley and wife Ann of Seattle, Washington; his fur baby, Penny.
