Cindy “Jammer” Black, 72, of Amarillo passed away on November 18, 2020 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday November 25, 2020 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Cindy will be available for viewing on Tuesday November 24, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service at Llano Cemetery. Cindy was born on March 23, 1948 to Kenneth and Peggy Smith in Potter County. She married her husband Danny in the summer of 1966 in New Mexico. They spent over 54 wonderful years together. Cindy was a good cook and enjoyed hosting gatherings for her family and friends. She was invested in her church and also enjoyed preparing meals for her church family. Christmas was one of Cindy’s favorite times of the year and she loved to decorate for different seasons. She enjoyed keeping a nice home. Among other hobbies Cindy enjoyed sewing when she was able to and teaching others as well. Her husband Danny remembers how much she loved to shop, especially at Stein Mart and she was heartbroken when they closed their doors. Cindy was loved by all that knew her and she will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant baby brother.
Survivors include her husband, Danny of the home; one daughter, Michelle Ruiz and husband Jose of Amarillo; two sons, Matthew “Todd” Black and wife Melissa of North Carolina, and Braden Black and his wife Kristi of Amarillo; one brother, David Smith and wife Dana; one sister, Becky Tracy both of Amarillo; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
