David Brewton, 66, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021. Celebration of Life Services will be at 2:00p.m. Wednesday October 6, 2021 at the Khiva Shrine Center. Visitation services will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday October 5, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
David was born on May 9, 1955, in Amarillo to Jim and Elaine Brewton. David was a Salesman for Border States Electric Supply until his retirement. He was raised as a Master Mason and was a member of the infamous Khiva Oriental Band. David’s love of music and showmanship was displayed at numerous performances with the Oriental Band throughout the United States.
The Love of Music guided his life from an early age and was always his biggest Hobby. His other hobbies included anything to do with Golf, spoiling his girls (Izzie and Daisy), cooking BBQ, picking up and dropping the Atlanta Braves as his favorite Baseball team, watching old TV shows and giving a verbal jab to anyone nearby.
He is survived by his wife Diane, son Craig and wife Lexie, son Matt all of Amarillo, son Jason and wife Mandi Winn of Pensacola, Florida, daughter Amy and husband Matt Craig of Gillette, Wyoming. Grandkids Sam, Ryder, Presley, Sara, Leah Brewton, Ruth and Clare Walker, Rebeka, Micah & Asher Craig. Great Granddaughter Kailani Lemmons. Nephew Aric Brewton and Niece Allison Donaho, great nephews and niece Grayson, Kannon and Audrey.
He was preceded in death by his parent Jim and Elaine and his Big Brother Joe.
