David D. Haddock, 75, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
David was born April 8, 1948 in Amarillo, Texas. He married his wife Jo Ann on September 19, 1970 in Amarillo. He worked for J. Lee Milligan and the Amarillo Smelter, before becoming self-employed as a handyman for many years. David was an avid model builder for most of his life; mostly working with model cars and tanks. He was a member of Top of Texas Modelers and Golden Spread Model Club. He and Jo Ann owned a Model T pickup at one time that they enjoyed taking to car shows and parades. David was also a member of the Model A Car Club. He was a collector and liked to salvage metal. He also enjoyed bowling.
David was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Jewel Haddock; and a brother, Don Haddock.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Haddock; a brother-in-law, DeGregg Brugamyer; three nephews, Gary Thomason and wife McKenna, and Jeffrey Brugamyer all of Amarillo, and Erik Brugamyer of Austin, TX; and a niece, Lora Vela of Amarillo.
