David Villa, 34, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral services at Llano East Cemetery.
David was born May 27, 1987 in Amarillo to Daniel and Rachel Villa. He attended Palo Duro High School and graduated from Caprock High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines Corps. He married Monica Galvan on September 15, 2017 in Amarillo. He was an artist and woodworker. He was a Boston Red Sox and a New England Patriots fan. Family meant everything to David. He was a family man, and enjoyed playing ball and paintball with his boys, his nephews and his only niece. He enjoyed watching baseball with his father. He loved to grill and cook, and was known for making the best cinnamon steaks. He was a good man, who enjoyed life. He took good care of his mother and father. He was thoughtful, loving and kind. As David would say, if you want to see changes in the world, begin at home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, David and Socorro Villa, and Thomas and Susie Holloway.
Survivors include his wife, Monica Villa; four sons, Dominic Galvan, Alejandro Galvan, Thomas Villa and Michael Villa; his parents, Daniel Villa and Rachel Villa of Amarillo; three sisters, Cassandra Villa Lugo and husband Manuel, Jocelyn Villa, and Natasha Sauceda and husband Phillip all of Amarillo; a niece, Lillyanna; his nephew and brother by heart, Jacob Jimenez, and four other nephews, Rey, Trae, Cruz, Quin; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
