Dick Bailey Obituary

Dick Bailey, 87, of Groom, died Monday, May 11, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time. Dick was born October 29, 1932 in Keosauqua, Iowa to David and Frances Bailey. He graduated from high school in Keosauqua, and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Dick worked as a cattle broker and traveled wherever the business took him. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to casinos. He also enjoyed playing cards and checkers. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; and a granddaughter. Survivors include his wife, Loretta Bailey of Groom; four sons, David Bailey and wife Adrienne of Franklin, Jeff Bailey and wife Vicki of Mertzon, Phillip Bailey and wife Shelley of San Angelo, and Todd Bailey and wife Darla of Paradise; a sister, Edith Inman and husband Paul of Phoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials may be made to The VA Community Living Center of Amarillo.
