Donald Eugene Moore, 63, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Viewing and visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
Don was born on November 7, 1957, to Gene Moore and Jane Moore-Westfall in Clinton, Oklahoma. He gained his angel wings peacefully in his home in Amarillo, Texas on February 5, 2021 at the age of 63.
Don was always the life of the party. Growing up he always gave his siblings a hard time. Stories of koolaid in the shower head, Saran Wrap on toilets, and dandelions in mouths were many of the stories Don told about his younger days. His love for country music, old western movies, and dancing are just a few memories his loved ones will hold onto.
Don married the love of his life, Diana Brown-Moore on October 4, 2003. They built a life together and most of their memories centered around their children and their grandbabies. He never met a stranger and his smile and laugh could light up a room. Don’s love for his grandkids was epic. They were the light of his life.
Don was preceded in death by both of his parents as well his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
He leaves behind many loved ones including a wife, Diana Brown-Moore, 4 children, Brandon Moore of Oklahoma City, Christopher Adams (Amy) of Amarillo, Amber Torres (Joe) of Amarillo, and Jamie Moore (David) of Amarillo, 6 grandchildren, Albert, Nathan, Jaxon, Brooklyn, Colby, Brynlee and his best 4 legged friend Gizmo. He also leaves behind 5 brothers and 2 sisters, Bob Moore, John Moore, Delbert Moore, Bruce Moore, Brad Westfall, Marilyn Kimmel, and Crystal Anderson.
You may be gone physically, but your love and memory will be carried on for generations to come! We love you.
