Dorothy Faye (Scott) Skaggs

Dorothy Faye Skaggs born November 1, 1930 at Buck Creek near Wellington, TX to Sam and Lucy Scott. Died November 9, 2023. She was 93 years old.  

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday November 13, 2023 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Loran Harper officiating. The family will be accepting friends at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday November 12, 2023.

Dorothy was a good Christian lady who helped everyone and they could always depend on her. She was a member of Bell Avenue Church of Christ and also visited Comanche Trail Church of Christ with her daughter. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lucy Scott; two brothers, J.T. Scott; Bud Scott; four sisters, Mae Voss; Lee Scott; Barbara Scott; her niece, Kay Eakles and Joy Eakles; a son-in-law whom like was a son Keith Cunningham.

She is survived by her daughter Evelyn F. Knighton (Havon) of Amarillo, TX; three grandsons, Jeremy Cunningham of Ft. Worth, TX; Paul Knighton (Margo) of Massachusetts; and Philip Knighton of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Gayle Mock of Oklahoma City, OK; Mollie White (Pete) of Amarillo, TX. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend many thanks to Craig Memory Care; Denise, Judy, Brenda, Michelle, Martha, Doris, Melissa, Andi, all of the CNAs and the nurses. Thank you to BSA Hospice; Rebecca, Melissa, Whitney and Gemma. Her social worker, Joann; Jana in accounting; Faye and Alexis at the front desk. Everyone was so wonderful to me and my mom.
