Edward "Shawne" White

Edward “Shawne” White, 55, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive, with Chaplain Ira Purdy officiating.

Shawne was born July 2, 1966 in Amarillo to Eddie and Kay White. He attended Tascosa High School. He made his career as a mechanic, working many of those years at Caterpillar. In his spare time, Shawne enjoyed fishing, playing poker and hanging out with his friends. He loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include a son, Casey White and wife Kaisi of Amarillo; a daughter, Cassidy White of Amarillo; a brother, Shane White and wife Jinger of Amarillo; a sister, Shannon Vanover and husband Michael of Amarillo; three step-brothers, Jerry “Rookie” Halford and wife Michele of Raleigh, NC, Darrin Halford and wife Jennifer of Fayetteville, NC, and Jimmy Brannum and wife Michelle of Oklahoma City, OK; a step-sister, Cheri Thompson and husband Kevin of Dallas; two sisters-in-law, Kimberly Sisneros and husband David and Trish Chance and husband Teddy all of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Harmony White, Kaden White, Annie Mourton, Hadleigh Mourton and Chaz Mourton.
