Frances Audette Oglesby

Frances Audette Oglesby, 90, of Amarillo passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 30, 2021 at University Church of Christ, 3400 Conner Drive in Canyon with David Lough officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday January 29, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Frances was born April 19, 1930 in Shep, Texas to William and Maddie Talley. She graduated from Divide High School in Divide, Texas. Frances married Kellar Oglesby on April 20, 1949 in Amarillo. She dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was a devoted Elder’s wife and active church member. She and Kellar were members of Forest Hill Church of Christ, West Amarillo Church of Christ, and Anna Street Church of Christ. Frances was an excellent cook, and enjoyed gardening. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Bill Talley, Jerry Talley, Vernon Talley, and Hollis Talley; three sisters, Anna Higgins, Dorothy Morehead, and Marilyn Leach; and a granddaughter, Charity Gossett.

Survivors include one son, Matt Oglesby (Amber) of Canyon; two daughters, Sherry Gossett (G.A.) and Holly Bazan (Jesse) both of Amarillo; two brothers, Tommy Talley (Raelene), and Pete Talley (Karen) all of Amarillo; a sister, Rita Evans (Don) of Amarillo; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
