Frank Thompson, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday August 14, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday August 17, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. with Pastor Robert Burton officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.
Frank Thompson was born on March 09, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to John and Mary Thompson. He married his sweetheart, Hilarie Hagenbuch in 1977 in Amarillo. Together they have celebrated over 45 years of marriage. Frank worked as a supervisor for ASARCO before retirement, but never truly quit working. He enjoyed working on cars and going to street races. Frank was a car lover through and through and especially enjoyed his 56’ Chevy two door sedan. He was talented at playing pool and enjoyed the sport any chance he got. Frank loved making those around him laugh, telling jokes and scaring people any moment he could. He loved his family and spending time around his children and grandchildren. Frank also enjoyed his dogs. He was loved by so many and will be missed.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Hilarie Thompson of the home; two daughters, Tammy Conner (Tommy) of Amarillo and Katina Folds (Mike) of Florida; four sons, Terry Thompson (Linda) of Amarillo, Joey Thompson (Bev) of Michigan, Jake Thompson of Amarillo and John Thompson (Bond) also of Amarillo; one aunt, Mildred Madison of Tennessee; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
