Garre D. Lowrance, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1208 S. Tyler St. with Dr. Howard Batson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Garre was born February 23, 1947 in Amarillo to Lee Roy and Lillian Lowrance. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1966, and attended Amarillo College. He married the love of his life, Diana Maynard on August 5, 1967 in Amarillo. Garre worked in RV sales and service for most of his career. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing. Garre loved motorcycles; he enjoyed riding his Harley and dirt bikes. He was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group, and was Road Captain for the club. He enjoyed shooting, and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Texas Panhandle Pistol Club. He was also a member of the AHS Sandie Classics. Garre was a devoted Christian man. He was a member of First Baptist Church for his whole life. He and Diana are members of the Beasley Sunday school class there. Garre was also a member of Gideon’s International.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Johnnie Allen Lowrance.
Survivors include his wife Diana Lowrance; two sons, Garre Don Lowrance, Jr. and wife Delayna of Hereford, and Corey Lowrance and wife Rebecca of Brownsboro, TX; four grandchildren, Paige Gerber and husband Chay of Canyon, Cole Lowrance of Hereford, Arabella Lowrance and Holden Lowrance both of Brownsboro; and one great-grandson, Lathem Gerber.
