He ran cattle on the family’s home place that he shared with his brother, Jim, for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rodeos and watching basketball. Gene especially enjoyed time spent with his grandkids. He was very involved in their activities, and was so proud of his grandson, Colten’s service in the U.S. Navy.
