Guadalupe Salinas, 78, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on February 02, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Donnie Lane officiating. Guadalupe with be available for viewing Monday February 8th from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Tuesday February 9th from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Guadalupe was born on February 11, 1942 in Donna, Texas to Maximo and Paula Salinas. He married his wife Marianita on January 7, 1962 in Donna. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage this past January. Guadalupe enjoyed music and football, he was a dedicated Cowboys fan. He liked to BBQ and was a hard and dedicated worker. Guadalupe loved his wife and children deeply and he dedicated his life to them. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. Guadalupe also enjoyed traveling to see his family as often as he was able to. He will be missed by many.
Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents, Maximo and Paula C. Salinas; Siblings, Maximo Salinas Jr., Adelina Garcia, Irma Torres, David Librado Salinas and Estiquio Castano; grandsons, Alexander Sanchez and AJ Salinas.
Survivors include his wife, Marianita Salinas of the home; his children, Martin, Lupe Jr., Fedenio, Beatrice, Caroline, Rosario, Arturo, Oscar, Sylvia, Emilio, Jaime, Normalina and Lionel; 56 Grandchildren and 21 Great-grandchildren.
