Obituary

Helen Gamblin, 85, of Amarillo, passed away on January 10, 2023. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Saturday January 14, 2023 at Llano Cemetery with Pastor Charles Dixon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Helen was born December 9, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to Grover and Judy Jennings.  She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1955. She married Terry Gamblin in 1957. They were married for 59 years. She graduated from West Texas State University in 1972, with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She worked for Dr. Jeff Moore from 1976 to 1998 where she retired.

Helen had many interests. She loved raising her children and grandchildren, she enjoyed crochet, embroidery and cross stitching. She also enjoyed Mustangs, Street Rods and loved traveling with friends.

She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her husband Terry Gamblin, her parents; and one brother Grover C. Jennings III.

Survivors include one daughter, Kelly Burkham of Amarillo, one son, Kasey Gamblin and wife Tresa of Waco; three grandchildren, Amanda Ivy, Dalton Payne, and Grayson Gamblin; two great-grandchildren Hailah Burkham, and Lauryn Ivy.
