Jeanette E. Hoover, 81, of Amarillo, passed away June 6, 2020, after a short illness surrounded by family. No Services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the directions of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home of Amarillo, Texas.

Jeanette Eileen Long, daughter of Clarence and Eileen Long of Lehigh, Iowa, was born November 12, 1938. She graduated from Lehigh High School in 1956 giving the valedictorian address. In 1957 Jeanette was united in marriage to Lyle Marvin Hoover, lasting 50 years until his death in 2007. Jeanette and Lyle made their home in the Badger, Iowa area for many years raising 2 daughters. Jeanette worked in the insurance industry in Fort Dodge before the couple relocated to Missouri and later Texas. Jeanette was an avid reader, loved classic country music and celebrations. Her greatest enjoyment in life was time spent with her family; especially her grandchildren. Jeanette was proceeded in death by her husband Lyle Hoover,and her parents.

She is survived by daughters, Crystal Hoover of Phoenix, AZ, Rebecca Hayes (Rodney)Hayes of Amarillo, TX; four grandchildren Tyler (Audrey)Hayes of Bremerton Wa, Kristin,Stephanie, Bradon Hayes of Amarillo. Survived by her brothers Gary Long of Malvern Arkansas & Larry Long of Peoria Illinois. Several nieces and nephews.
