Judy Spain Obituary

Judy Spain, 61, of Amarillo, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Bob Miller of Crossroads Country Church officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Judy was born May 30, 1960 in Amarillo to Charles and Bertie Braddock. She attended Caprock High School. She worked for Phillips 66 in Borger, Duke Electric and HB Zachry. She worked as an assistant manager for Auto Zone for 14 years. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed going to casinos. She especially loved doing things for her family. She made each and every one of them feel special. She was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church. Judy fought a hard battle with cancer for the last ten years. Her family is at peace knowing that she is now with her Savior. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Charles Braddock, Max Braddock, and Jerry Braddock.

Survivors include a daughter, Misty Tijerina of Amarillo; three sisters, Kristie Anderson, Barbara Helton and husband Bob, and Ethel Braddock all of Amarillo; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Braddock; five nieces, Michelle Orcutt (Stephen Orcutt), Melanie Castro (Nick Castro), Brittany Wolf (Michael Wolf), Karen Yates (Jerry Yates), and Cindy Braddock (Ronnie Ring); four nephews, Eddie Helton, Dwayne Helton (Whitney Helton), Joshua Broyles (LaToya Broyles), and Steven Braddock (Jared Duncan); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Harrington Cancer Center.
