Larry Clemishire, 84, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday August 13, 2022. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday August 17, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral home.
Larry was born on June 13, 1938 in Shreveport, Louisiana to George and Jean Clemishire. He graduated from high school in Borger. Larry was a true patriot, serving in the United States Navy for 4 years, before his was honorably discharged. Larry married his sweetheart, Merle Ramzinksy in 1963; together, they celebrated over 59 years of marriage. Larry worked as a Pipefitter for 35 years before he retired in 2004. He worked hard and was dedicated to providing for his family.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather; family was the light of his life. He was always a true friend and the life of the party. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronnie Clemishire.
Survivors include his wife, Merle of the home; one son, Tony Clemishire and wife, Dana; three granddaughters, Maci Sartain, Jaydi King and Kaydi King; two great grandchildren, Jaxon Carter and Katalaya Sanchez; one sister-in-law, Priscilla Clemishire; three nieces, Kristi Phelps and husband James, Rocki Hallenback and husband Jay and Jacki Layton, along with their families.
