Leslie Holmes

Leslie Holmes, 74, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday October 19, 2021 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday October 23, 2021 at Crossroads Church, 1924 S Polk Street; Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.

Viewing will be on Friday October 22, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Leslie was born on August 28, 1947 in Amarillo to Dorothy and Andrew Martin. She has lived most of her life in Amarillo. Leslie attended Beauty school and was a long time Beautician. She loved her family and they were the center of her life; Leslie cared about people and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed. She was her family’s biggest fan and they could always count on her love, Support and encouragement. Leslie was an avid NASCAR fan and really enjoyed watching Jeff Gordon Race, She also loved rocking out to Elvis Presley. She was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eddie Holmes; her daughter, Brooke Giles and one brother, Brent Martin.

Survivors include her son, Stephen Holmes of the home; two granddaughters, Ashley Hanks and husband Tate and Allison Giles both of Amarillo; one grandson, Andrew Giles of Kansas; two brothers, Stephen Martin and wife Geraldine and Vince Martin and wife Debbie all of Amarillo. Survivors also include many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
