Linda Lou Bentley

Linda Bentley, 70, of Amarillo passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday April 14, 2021. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday April 20, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive with Pastor Bob Schroeder officiating. The family has asked that anyone attending the funeral please wear a face mask.

Linda was born on January 7, 1951 to Clifford and Velma Baileys in Bristow, Oklahoma. Linda married William “Bill” Bentley on March 5, 1977 in Amarillo and they spent 44 wonderful years together. Linda worked for Southwestern Bell and then AT&T for 22 years before she retired from the company. She was one of the first women to work on the outside crews and was very dedicated to the job. Linda owned and operated Bentley Telephone Services which she ran for almost 30 years. She and Bill worked alongside each other building their business until they closed the doors in 2017. Linda enjoyed spending her free time at the lake on the boat and was an avid water skier. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and always enjoyed spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Kyle Everett.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Bentley of the home; two daughters, Kelli Bentley and Heather Hancock and her husband Todd; one son, Sean Bentley and his wife Teri all of Amarillo; two sisters, Glenna Pool of Perryton and Barbara Pryor and her husband Joe of Burleson; one brother, Clifford Baileys and wife Vanessa of Edmond, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jacob Everett, Brendon Everett, Lauren Bentley and Gracie Bentley; two great grandchildren, Millie and Beth. Survivors also include a host of additional family and close friends.
