Marisa Lu Garcia

Marisa Garcia, 43, of Amarillo, passed away August 9, 2020 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Services will be live-streamed, please visit www.coxrowleyfuneralhome.com and follow the link provided.

Marisa was born June 6, 1977 to Baldomero and Yolanda Garcia in Salineno, TX and graduated from Tascosa High School. She worked at Walmart for 19 years, most recently as a manager. Marisa was loved by her Walmart family and will be missed every day. She loved the outdoors specifically camping and spending her spare time upgrading her Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck. Family was the most important thing to Marisa and she never let her children or grandchildren forget it. She enjoyed family gatherings, most of all when they could all BBQ and be close with one another. Marisa was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Garcia.

Survivors include two sons, Strison Garcia and wife Bailey; Joseph Morrison and wife Ashley; three daughters, Gracie Morrison and husband Jadce of Amarillo, Ebaney Wait and wife Ashley of Mckinney and Jayde Olguin of Hereford; her parents, Baldomero and Yolanda Sanchez of Amarillo; one brother, Baldo Garcia of Amarillo; two sisters, Michelle Lukesic of Amarillo and Mary Garcia of Victoria; three grandchildren, Scarlett, Kinleigh, and Charlie of Amarillo; four nephews and seven nieces. Survivors also include a host of additional family and close friends.
