Mark G. Ruggles, 61, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 10, 2021 at Christian Heritage Church, 900 S. Nelson St., with Pastor Craig Lawlis officiating.
Mark was born November 11, 1959 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Leroy and Beverly Ruggles. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He married Karen O’Brien on January 28, 1984. Mark worked for Plains Plumbing for over 35 years. In his spare time, he loved riding his motorcycle. He was vice president of Hardcore Motorcycle Ministries. He and Karen were longtime members of Christian Heritage Church. Mark was very active in his church and served as deacon. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and a step-brother, David Fallon.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Ruggles; two daughters, Sheala Goodson and husband Greg, and Stacy Murillo and husband JR all of Amarillo; a brother, Todd Ruggles and wife Valrie of Amarillo; two sisters, Rebecca Ivy and husband Curtis of Amarillo; and Sharon Bills and husband Tod of New Hampshire; a step-brother, James Fallon and wife Yan; a step-sister, Barbara Bruns and husband Lee; and four grandchildren, Hagen, Johnny, Miranda, and Raul.
The family suggests memorials may be made to Toys for Tots, via Christian Heritage Church, 900 S. Nelson St. Amarillo, TX 79104; or directly to Toys for Tots. This was a charity that was very special to Mark.
