Marquetta Taylor, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Marquetta was born September 29, 1946 in Amarillo to Woody and Cora Graham. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1963, and attended Amarillo College. She married Richard Taylor on February 3, 1968 in Amarillo. Marquetta worked for JC Penney and Amarillo College. She adored her dog, Chloie. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan, and enjoyed playing games on her phone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Taylor; and her daughter, Stephanie Stevens.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Taylor and wife Jerrie of Amarillo, and Jeff Taylor of Ft. Worth; eight grandchildren, Shelbi Taylor and spouse Lontisha, Kaci Killgo and husband Mitchell, Marley Taylor, Jensen Taylor, Aimoree Stevens, Joleigh Stevens, Chase Newton, Destinie Schuler and husband Logan; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
