Myrna Jean Daniels, 84, of Amarillo, passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday April 09, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday April 13, 2023 at First Family Church, 6101 Bell St. with Pastor Billy Nickell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday April 12, 2023 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Friday April 14, 2023 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home. Myrna was born on November 28, 1938 in Apache, Oklahoma to J.P. and Alta Davis. Myrna attended Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. She married her husband, Elmer Daniels on February 11, 1955 in Oklahoma City; together they celebrated 68 years of marriage together.
Myrna was a dedicated homemaker who loved her husband and family with all of her heart. She was a talented musician who loved to sing and play the piano; you could find Myrna playing the piano mostly at church and she did so as long as the Lord gave her the strength. Myrna enjoyed cooking, arranging flowers, photography, painting and sewing. She worked for Family Photo in Amarillo for 12 years before she retired. Myrna was a steadfast and faithful Christian and now celebrates eternal life with Jesus Christ.
Myrna was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Daniels of the home; four sons, Johnnie Daniels and wife Sharon of Amarillo, Rodney Daniels and wife Rhonda of Montgomery, TX, Rickie Daniels and wife Brenda, and Jerrey Daniels and wife Angie all of Amarillo; two sisters, Donnita Sellers (Perry) and Uletta Cook (Barry); one brother, Al Davis (Naomi); 10 grandchildren, Sherry Dungan (Nicholas), Crissy Chandler (Russell), Shawn Daniels (Andrea), Amber Noblit (Phil), Kendra Adams (Michael), Britni Hurst (Matt), Chad Daniels (Amy), Heather Shreiner (Jasen), Nathan Daniels and Zachary Daniels; 26 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
