Patricia Marie Burkart

Patricia Marie, 89, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Graveside inurnment services will be at 2:30 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Muskogee County, Oklahoma.

Patricia was born September 21, 1934 in Halstead, Kansas to Lawrence and Ruby Marshall. She married her husband, John C. Burkart on March 23, 1965 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Together they raised five children. Patricia dedicated her life to caring for her family. She worked in child care, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing embroidery. Patricia was a feisty lady and she loved spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, John C. Burkart. She was also welcomed into Heaven by Cooper Bear and several angel babies.

Survivors include a son, Larry Burkart and wife Lori of Cody, WY; four daughters, Lynn Osborne and husband Jay of Amarillo, Tammy Hampton and husband Terry of Winslow, AR, Tricia Rogers and husband John of Bartlesville, OK, and Penny Tucker and husband Steven of Henrietta, OK; two sisters, Peg Senesac and husband Jim of White Bear Lake, MN, and Jill Crockett of Norfolk, VA; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
