Patricia "Pat" McDaniel

Patricia Ann “Pat” McDaniel, 87, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, April 9, 2021 at the funeral home. 

Pat was born June 25, 1933 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Stella and James “Leo” Heasley, Sr. She graduated from Tucumcari High School. Pat married Waldemar Wendell “Wendy” Wallace, Jr. in 1951. He passed away in 1970. She married Wayne Hudgens in 1974, who passed away in 1993. She married Charlie McDaniel in 1994, and he passed away in 2003. Pat was very blessed by all three of these marriages to wonderful men. She thought of their children as her own. Pat worked for Southwestern Portland Cement Co. in Bushland for 19 years. She also worked for Cellular One, until she left there to work with her husband, Charlie. Together, they traveled for Charlie’s work. Pat assisted Charlie in his role as marketing director with LECMPA. She is remembered as a talented pianist, singer, and dancer. She played all kinds of board games and duplicate bridge. She enjoyed time spent with her family. Most of all, Pat loved her Lord and Savior. She has now gone Home to dance with Him. The family would like to extend special thanks to BSA Hospice of the Southwest and to Bristol Park for the wonderful care of our mother.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Wendy Wallace, Jr.; her second husband, Wayne Hudgens; her third husband, Charlie McDaniel; three sisters, Dorothy Heasley, Doris Ash, and Ginna Ebinger, and a bonus son, Sid McDaniel.

Survivors include two daughters, Christopher Ann “Chris” Weems and husband Rob, and Patricia “Pati” Diggs and husband Steve all of Amarillo; a son, James Wendell Wallace and wife Cynde of Broken Arrow, OK; a brother, James Leo Heasley, Jr. and wife Judy of McKinney; a sister, Janet Taylor of Abilene; four bonus children, Debbie Ironside and husband Dave of Osh Kosh, WI, Cindy Styner and husband Bruce of Ft. Worth, Steve McDaniel and Marilyn Johnson and husband Doug all of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren, Wendy McGuire and husband Mikel, Carrie Mendoza and husband Joey, Ian Weems and wife Debbie, Justin Weems, Mindy Wallace, Jami Failing and husband Christopher, Jess Wallace and wife Kristin, Trissa Dawn Thomas and husband Terry, Tyler New and husband Michael, Todd Diggs, and Tera Walker and husband Royce; 11 bonus grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
