Paul Chapmon Obituary

Paul Earl Chapmon, 63, of Amarillo, passed away on December 18, 2021, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2021, at Cox-Rowley funeral home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Paul was born on March 12, 1958, in Amarillo to Earl and Ruby Chapmon. He spent most of his life in the Amarillo area but also spent some time in Pennsylvania and Arizona. Paul was an adventurer and a lover of music. He was an avid New York Giants fan and really enjoyed following the team. Paul liked NASCAR and playing Pool Billiards. You could say, he was a man’s man for sure. Paul had a fascination with Harley Davidson, although he never owned one Paul appreciated a good motorcycle. He was a simple man at heart who loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and his friends. Paul enjoyed spending time with his daughters and getting together for good BBQ and playing pool. He was loved by so many and will be missed.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nancy Chapmon; his son, Patrick Suhl and two grandchildren, Kandice Faith and Richard James.

Survivors include his two daughters, Amy Rodriguez (Martin) of Casa Grande, Arizona and Arron Hughes (Joshua) of Happy; one brother, Bobby Chapmon (Donna) of Amarillo; two sisters, Carol Ethridge (Duane) of Amarillo and Jody Hughes (Randall) of Canyon; six grandchildren, Anjolina and Jett Hughes, Martin Rodriguez III, Alyssa, Reyna and Ricardo Rodriguez; Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
