Paula Hall

Paula Hall, 79, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive.

Paula was born September 29, 1943 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Leland and Ethel Glisson. She graduated from Clarendon High School. She married her husband Ray Hall on October 27, 1962. Paula dedicated her life to caring for her family. She worked for Santa Fe Energy, NWTH, Ware Memorial Care Center and Walmart. Paula and Ray loved to go square dancing. Paula sewed all their costumes as well as their sons’ rodeo shirts. She was a talented seamstress and a tough little lady. Known as “Granny Hall” to her grandkids, she would spank them with her bunny slipper. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emett “Ray” Hall; a daughter, Diane Marie Woodruff; three brothers, Wayne Glisson, James Glisson, and Lee Glisson.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte Modisette and husband Terry of Amarillo; two sons, Emett Ray Hall, II and wife Molly of Amarillo, and Eric Hall and wife Kimberly of Bryan, TX; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
