Randy Hanks, 65, of Amarillo, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 30, 2021 at Hillside Christian Church - South Campus, 6917 Bell St. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.
Randy was born August 24, 1955 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Doyle and Carole Hanks. He graduated from Wheeler High School. He married his wife Shawna on February 14, 1996. Randy owned and operated Jiffy Cleaners for 35 years. He was a cowboy through and through. In his early years, Randy was a team roper, bronc rider, bull rider and rodeo clown. He enjoyed any time he could spend with his boys. He coached a lot of his sons’ sports teams when they were growing up. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the mountains. Randy had a larger than life presence. He always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susan Ackley; and a brother, Terry Hanks.
Survivors include his wife, Shawna Hanks; four sons, Matt Hanks of Dumas, Brad Hanks and wife Kyla, Tanner McWilliams and wife Kaitlyn, and Tate Hanks and wife Ashley all of Amarillo; two brothers, Darrell Hanks and Dave Hanks and wife Tammy all of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Madilyn McWilliams.
