Randy Wossum

Randy Wossum, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday September 27, 2023. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday October 7, 2023 at Washington Avenue Christian Church, 3800 S Washington St. with Pastor Shawn Wiley officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Randy was born on January 16, 1951 in Amarillo to Johnny and Betty Wossum. He attended Amarillo High School and graduated in 1969. “Blow Sand Blow”. Randy loved being outdoors, camping in Colorado and gambling on occasion. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, always looking for a reason to be outside. Randy enjoyed spending time in the garden, country dancing and watching sports. He was a true Texan, never missing a Rangers or Dallas Cowboy game. Randy worked for SPS for 42 years before retiring from Xcel Energy; He was always dedicated and hardworking and will be missed by his close friends and work family.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; one sister, Cindy Pitcher and his beloved dog, Max.

Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Wossum of the home; two daughters, Trinitie Edwards of Amarillo and Korina Police (Brad Allen) of The Colony; three sons, Trey Wossum of Amarillo, Shane Dunlap of White Deer and Vance Dunlap (Irma) of Bushland; eight grandchildren, Rhandi Warner (Gary), Brady Diaz, Alex Diaz, Piper Allen, Dixie Wossum, Jackson Wossum, Ryliegh Allen and Macie Allen; two great grandchildren, Demitri Kirksey and Saige Warner; his niece, Brittney Laughter (Cy). Survivors also include a host of extended family and close friends.
