Raymond Victor Mansfield Jr., 69, of Amarillo passed away Monday, January 27, 2020. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at City Church with Pastor Donnie Lane officiating. Raymond was born June 10, 1950 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Raymond Mansfield Sr. and Martha Mansfield. He attended Tascosa High School and received his GED in 1969. Raymond moved to Amarillo in 7th grade and was a member of Trinity Fellowship. He met April White in 1980 and they married in April of 1982 in Amarillo. Raymond’s passion was building motors and spending time in his shop. He enjoyed attending car races and watching the people he built motors for race them. Raymond will be remembered as a loving husband, father and a friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Brian Duvak and Jeff Valdez. Raymond is survived by his wife of 37 years, April Mansfield; two daughters, Christy Schroeder and husband Jack and Rebecka Rainey; a sister, Karen Valdez and husband Albert; three brothers-in-law, Sammie Duvak, Clayton White and D.J. Carter; three sisters-in-law, Ronda Duvak, Stephanie White and Star Carter; seven grandchildren, Brittny, Nikki, Ashley, Beth, Athena, Annabelle and Adri and six great-grandchildren.
