Robert Warren Maxwell, 58, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:00 Am Friday, January 7, 2022 at The Church at Bushland, with Pastor Byron Williamson, of First Baptist Church of Pampa officiating.
Robert was born March 19, 1963 in Perryton, Texas to Gary and Linda Maxwell. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1981. He went on to earn two bachelor degrees at Angelo State University and West Texas State University respectively. While at Angelo State, he won “Golfer of the Year”. In 1984, Robert married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Luthi. They enjoyed 37 years of marriage together. He worked as a medical sales rep in Amarillo since 1985. Over the course of his career, he assisted in thousands of surgeries that profoundly impacted the health of many, many people. Robert adored his grandkids, and loved spending time with them. He was known to them as “Bumpy”. He was a huge sports fan, especially football. He enjoyed all kinds of outdoor sports, such as fishing, hunting, ATV’s and being at the lake. Robert’s happy place was the gym where he enjoyed lifting and motivating others. Robert was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Maxwell; two sons, Nathan Maxwell and wife Kayla of Ralls, TX, and Warren Maxwell and wife Jordan of Bushland; a sister, Ranae Cantu and husband Jose of Perryton; and three grandchildren, Carder Maxwell, Paityn Maxwell and Blaine Maxwell.
