Rogelio Cabrera Gurrola

Rogelio Cabrera Gurrola, 39, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2500 S. Bolton St. with Fr. Marco Gonzales officiating. Rosary services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Cox-Rowley Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery.

Rogelio was born June 15, 1982 in Durango, Mexico to Bertoldo Cabrera Romero and Delfina Gurrola Quintanilla. He worked as a granite fabricator for many years. In his spare time, Rogelio loved to play soccer. He enjoyed singing, especially romantic music, and playing with his kids and grandson. Rogelio was a very affectionate guy with a big heart. He gave great hugs, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jose Trinidad Cabrera Gurrola.

Survivors include his partner, Maria Ana Karen Cordova; three sons, Brian Adrian Cabrera, Oliver Andres Cabrera and Jose Trinidad Cabrera; a daughter, Magali Cabrera Rosales; his parents, Bertoldo Cabrera Romero and Delfina Gurrola; two brothers, Nicolas Cabrera and Sergio Cabrera; six sisters, Maricela Cabrera, Consuelo Cabrera, Patty Cabrera, Elsa Cabrera, Norma Cabrera and Maria T. Cabrera; and his grandson, Mateo Adame Cabrera.
