Ronald Neal Seigman

Ronald Neal Seigman, Sr., 69, of Amarillo passed into the arms of Jesus Monday, August 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday August 15, 2020 at First Nazarene Church, 5201 S Soncy Rd, Amarillo, TX 79119. Ron will be available for viewing at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. Ron was born September 26, 1950 to Frank and Fleda Seigman in Geary Oklahoma. He graduated from El Reno High School. Ron married his sweetheart, Connie Sibit on June 7, 1969 in El Reno, Oklahoma, They spent 52 wonderful years together. He had a strong work ethic even from the age of 10 years old which continued all his life. He retired in January of this year as a mail clerk for the Clements unit. During his time with the Texas Department of Corrections he always enjoyed meeting new people and being an encouragement to those around him. Ron was always a constant and calm co-worker never forgetting to acknowledge those that needed him. He will be greatly missed. In his spare time, Ron raised birds for many years, and also enjoyed collecting model cars. He was very meticulous about caring for his own vehicles always keeping them waxed and clean. Ron loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed having his grandchildren and great grandchildren around him. They called him “Poppie”. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carolyn Seigman; one brother, Keith Seigman.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Seigman of the home; three sons, Ron Seigman Jr. and wife Kim of Smyer, Kevin Seigman and wife Sherry of Clyde, Brandon Seigman and wife Alisa of Springville, Alabama; one daughter, Shelley Reeder and husband Rick of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany, Kelsey, Rebecca, Nate, Brittany, Ashton, Libby, Carolyn, Reagan, Ryndonn, Adalyn, Avery, and Anderson; five great-grandchildren Gracelyn, Gunner, Raylyn, Audrie, and Emmett; one brother, David Seigman and wife Gwen of Blair, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; and a host of additional family and close friends.
