Samuel "Sam" Tolley Obituary

Samuel Ryan Tolley was born November 5, 1981 and died June 18, 2021 in Lubbock, TX, from injuries incurred when struck by a drunk driver in the early morning of June 11, 2021.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at the Second Baptist Church, 419 N Buchanan St, Amarillo, TX 79107.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 27, 2021, 2-4 PM.

Sam was an adoring father to all his children. He is survived by his children Italy, Cambree, Wyatt, Raven and Nicole. He instilled in them to be their very best and stood behind them with his whole heart in anything they attempt in life.

He was a beloved husband to Meghan. He devoted to her side in every pursuit providing edification and encouragement, emotionally and spiritually with unspeakable love.

Samuel served our country honorably as an Army Ranger Sniper Airborne. His service to our country grew Sam to become a person of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and courage while embodying the Ranger Creed way willing to give “100% and then some” to all he did.  As a cattle hauler, these qualities created allies and comrades in his walk at Lone Star Calf Ranch, rising to the development of his own entrepreneurship of Tolley Farms, Inc., and further enterprises of TNT. The friends of Sam in his endeavors while cattle hauling inspired him to become the family man he always desired to be while the blessing of the Tuls Family allowed Sam to make a family dream a reality.

Anyone who knows Sam knows he was hard to keep up with. He pursued hobbies including race car driving—even building his very own truck for show. He enjoyed outdoor adventures such as fishing. He elevated his interest of photography to astrophotography and dreamt of further exploring the nighttime sky. He took up sport in golfing, preformed disc jockeying, and earned aviation hours in flight. He truly believed anything dreamt is within reach. Sam’s enterprises awarded him with the largest family imaginable inside every hobby he endeavored with his warmth wisdom, generous heart, and witty humor. He is survived by every life he touched.

With the calling of the Almighty placed on his heart, and hand in hand with his loving wife, the lives of so many and his legacy will live on with a tear in the eye and a warming of the heart in every memory.
