Sharolyn Perry Obituary

Sharolyn Perry, 77, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday October 21, 2023. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church, 1208 S Tyler St. with Pastor Robby Barrett officiating. Anyone wishing to pay their respects to Sharolyn may do so on Thursday October 26, 2023 from 1:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley funeral home. Sharolyn will be laid to rest in Llano Cemetery.

Sharolyn was born on April 10, 1946 in El Paso to Jeanne and Herschel Davenport. She moved to Tucumcari in 1966 where she began her career as a Histology Technician. Sharolyn was a card caring member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Daughter of the Nile with Khiva Shrine and a past member of the Hereford Chapter of the Masons. Sharolyn loved her cats, had a cleaver personality and never met a stranger. She had a welcoming character and was never afraid to meet a new friend. Sharolyn was a long time member of First Baptist church in Amarillo and was devoted to her church family. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with and she will be missed.

Sharolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Perry and one sister-in-law, Pam Davenport.

Survivors include her daughter, LeAnn Burley and husband Brandon of Muskogee, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Jacob Burley and wife Rebekah, Silas Burley and Elaina Burley; two great grandchildren, Michael Burley and Ezekiel Burley; two brothers, George Davenport and wife Lynn and Matt Davenport; one nephew, David Davenport and one niece, Stefany Davenport. Survivors also include several close friends.
