Sharon Richards Obituary

Sharon Gail Richards, 71, of Amarillo passed into the arms of Jesus Monday, July 20, 2020. Memorial Services will be 11:00AM Saturday at Calvary Gospel Church, 601 S Cleveland Street in Amarillo. A private graveside service will take place Saturday morning.

Sharon was born March 30, 1949 to Fred and Dorothy Wilson. She graduated from Benson Union High School in Benson, Arizona. Sharon married her husband James on April 20, 1984. She was very involved in her church, Calvary Gospel Church of Amarillo. Sharon was a Sunday school teacher and children’s minister. Her family remembers her faith as the stepping stones of her life, and she could always depend on the word of God for strength and comfort. She could often be found on the front porch with her coffee and a cookie reading her bible and having her quiet time. She was a prayer warrior. Sharon loved her family and never let them forget that. She spoiled her grandchildren to no end and made it known she was their biggest fan. Sharon loved a good thrift store or garage sale. She was an avid cook and a self-proclaimed artist. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jimmy Wilson.

Survivors include her husband, James Richards of the home; one son, Charlie Ostrom and wife Tiffany; two daughters, Cari Ostrom and Shoshanna Pearson, husband Caleb; two step daughters, Jo Clancy and husband Greg, and Justie McKenna all of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Haydyn, Caeven, and Andrew; one brother, David Wilson and wife Anita of South Carolina; two sisters, Carol Dillon and husband Tim of Arizona and Patricia Wilson of Idaho.
