Steven Lynn Jones

Steven Lynn Jones, 51, of Amarillo, died Sunday, December 30, 2018.  Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Friday at Llano East Cemetery with Chaplain Jeff Messer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday at Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Dr. Steven was born July 7, 1967 in Hereford. He graduated from Hereford High School. He worked as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Co. for 12 years. In his spare time, Steven enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and working on cars. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was preceded in death by twin sons, Jacob and Esau Jones; and his father, George Willard Jones. Survivors include his son, Benjamin Logan Jones of Amarillo; his mother, Hattie Jones of Amarillo; a sister, Angela Carroll and husband Robert of Amarillo; and two brothers, Randall Jones and Leonard Jones both of Amarillo. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to the benefit fund for Benjamin Logan Jones at any Amarillo National Bank location.
