Steven Alan Stoyer

Steven Alan Stoyer, 72, of Portales, New Mexico passed into the arms of Jesus on May 21, 2020. He was surrounded by his family. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowley Funeral Home.

Steven was born on July 31, 1947, to Wayne and Rosemary Stoyer in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served our nation for four years. Steven was stationed in Alconbury, England and loaded ammunition in the aircraft as part of the Aircraft Armament Systems. Steven was a Staff Sargent when he separated from the Air Force in 1969. He married his sweetheart, Marion Stoyer, on December 29, 1972, in Calabasas, California. Steven worked as an ironworker in Alaska, Washington, and Oregon, spending most of his time in Alaska for about 38 years. He loved Jesus, his family and dear friends. He will be greatly missed. Steven was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Dennis Stoyer, and Michael Stoyer.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Stoyer of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Hawk of Alaska; one son, Daniel Stoyer and wife Amelie of Beaverton, Oregon; three grandchildren, David, Rebecca, and Emmanuel; two sisters, Judy Stoyer-Pozzi, and Susie Johnson both of Connecticut.
