Thomas “Tom” M. Stevens, 60, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022. There are no services scheduled at this time.
Tom was born February 1, 1962 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was raised by his mother and step-father, A.H. “Bud” and Peggy Tate. He graduated from Perryton High School where he played football. He moved to Amarillo in 1992, where he married his wife Josephine “Nanda” Van Blommestein in 1993.
Tom spent several years in his earlier career working in the oil fields and for Sage Signs. He became a truck driver for Fabriclean, where he worked until his retirement in 2017.
Tom enjoyed time spent with his kids when they were growing up. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music and playing video games.
Survivors include his wife Josephine Van Blommestein; a step-son, Rocky Van Blommestein; a step-daughter, Sharon; two brothers, Steven Stevens of Albuquerque, NM, and Raymond Stevens and wife Kim of Amarillo; a sister, Mary Logan and husband Kent of Dallas; a step-brother, Robert Tate of Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Debbie Tate and husband Dennis Brewster of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren.
