Tillie (Tina) (Tiny) (Deenda) Barbitta Kantner, 100, of Amarillo passed away on Saturday March 25, 2023. As per her request, there will be no services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Rowely Funeral Home.

Tillie was born on Friday May 12, 1922 in Reading, Pennsylvania to Frank and Julia Barbitta. She was the second oldest of 11 children. Tillie was a homemaker who followed her husband to many different airbases around the world. She supported his efforts to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Tillie’s favorite past time was cooking and working in the garden. Until she lost most of her eye sight she enjoyed crochet, cross stitch and crafts as well. Tillie was a dedicated mother who loved her children and grandchildren. She was loved by so many, lived a full and happy life and will be missed by all she shared it with.

Tillie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Kantner; one daughter, JoAnn Choate, and 2 great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Williams and her son, David Kantner and his wife Miki all of Amarillo; 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. She leaves a legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial donations be made to, the Veterans Association of American, and the Wounded Warriors Project
